Our attorneys have a diverse background were recognized for their academic achievements while attending Drake Law School, all graduating with Honors or High Honors. In addition to their academic success, Christopher, Matthew and Jonah were highly active in a variety of Drake Law School organizations ranging from Law Review and the Journal of Agricultural Law to Moot Court. All three attorneys gained invaluable practical experience as student attorneys at the Drake University Legal Clinic. As student attorneys, they represented indigent defendants in the Iowa state courts in matters ranging from traffic tickets to OWIs and assaults, all the way up to first degree murder. In addition to their district court experience, our attorneys have argued and briefed appeals for the Iowa Supreme Court, Iowa Court of Appeals, and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Our attorneys have also gained invaluable practical experience as clerks and interns for government agencies, law firms, and the federal courts. Christopher, Matthew and Jonah all turned down other opportunities to form this law firm and continue mentoring relationships with numerous attorneys in the Des Moines area and throughout the state. Since opening its doors, Kemp Sease & Dyer has handled hundreds of cases.
