Jonah was raised in Phoenix, Arizona.  He graduated from Independence High School in 2001.  Shortly after graduating from high school, Jonah served a full-time, two year mission for his church in the Yucatán Peninsula.  Upon returning, Jonah attended Arizona State University and received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. 

Jonah came to Iowa to attend the Drake University Law School.  While at Drake, Jonah participated in the American Bar Association Arbitration Team and the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, where he served as Associate Editor during the 2009-2010 school year.  He also participated in the Drake Advanced Legal Criminal Defense Clinic, where he was able to try and win his first jury trial.  During law school, Jonah focused his course work in litigation and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in his Trial Advocacy course.  Jonah graduated from Drake Law School in 2010 with Honors and earned the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Certificate.  Jonah is an Eagle Scout.

When not in the office, Jonah loves to spend time with his wife Jenni and his four children, ages 5, 4, 2, and 1.
